Seemingly oversimplified but isn't that the point Helping one to understand they have it they are it being aware and nothing else is needed Worth a read because unless you are awake the guide can be confusing especially for those who don't even know the term non duality

Out of all of Fred Davis' books which tend to be a little similar I would take this first one as the best and most memorable The format is via a teacherstudent interview session looking at 'awakening' to the experience of out nondual nature and what the awakened state may look like There's some very good pointers contained in this book and I'd recommend for anyone currently interested in self inuiry nondual inuiry etc The most memorable section of the book would have to be the pointer and investigation into the basic fact of whether one is 'awake' or 'conscious' right now and what the nature of that wakefulness actually entails Fred has done a good job with the dialogue and book overall

Fred and his composite client Brooke walk through a direct pointing session and subseuent followups as Brooke goes in and out of the natural process of awakening An excellent and practical book with a readable format that I have not seen before with respect to the composite client It is like being a fly on the wall for a well run and crisp series of sessions The interaction between Fred and the composite client gets to the heart of the matter as the content based on Fred's experience with many many clients I found the book digestible and useful Highly Recommend

As clear a teaching as it getsFred Davis is clarity itself Simple joyful and so unserious This book cracked the cosmic egg and continues to do so with each reading

  6. Renee Renee says:

My first exposure to the topic of non duality Interesting approach in describing the theory but leaves me with uestions than it should I prefer presentation of theory with examples This is a hostclient approach with emphasis on awkward dialog than substance AND the audio is painful The reader is too much of an actor I wanted to rip my hair out listening to her overacting for sure

  7. Julie Julie says:

Up til now I think this is the best book on Non duality I've come across It's fairly short and concise but packed with pointers and instruction touching on the nature of consciousness personality reality and awakening Fred Davis has a gift for teaching his prose is clear and enlightening and gave me little aha moments

Experience non duality the oneness of you
