I hope this is satire Even if it is it isn't funny Jon Stewart does satire well But this book reads too much like one of a few politicians wrote it deriding poor people and advocating death In a world where this stuff is already happening I can't laugh at the suggestion of forcefully harvesting organs from the poor when there are poor people selling organs on the black market to feed their families There isn't enough to pull this book up Want to praise Bernie Madoff? Don't praise the things he was happy to do like lie Compliment his new wardrobe of Prison Orange Show the results of the yay greed actions instead of writing a book that sounds like it was written in earnest by Mitt Romney for his fellow rich cronies who want to do away with minimum wage if you gave this book to Paul Ryan he'd probably consider it one of the best books ever written If this book is satire it went too far in the wrong direction like a rape joke teasing a victim for wearing the wrong thingBremner missed the mark entirely I've got a pretty off color sense of humor and this book still missed it with me

I won this book from GoodreadsWHAT IS THIS??When I first read about this book I thought it would be saying it's okay to want and better things or perhaps a rationalization of our desire to hoardeIt did not take long to realize that was not its purpose It's not even a tongue in cheek joke book People such as Bill Gates and Angelina Jolie are shamed I was also shamed because I am admitting to having read itIt was not helpfulIt was not funnyit was not worth my timeA Fresh Look at Greed will not go ON my shelves but BEHIND them

I liked the idea of the book very much its written easily the message is vocalised in a very down to earth style I am amazed by the author's whit and bravery to write the book he had written So content gets 5 stars for me but all in all its only 3 stars in the end just because of two points 1 text formatting of the book is uite poor and there are spelling mistakes as well 2 the cover doesn't do justice to the book it is very simplistic and doesn't draw you in at all But again all in all the book is a good one

  4. George Polley George Polley says:

Psychiatrist Doug Bremner has written a hilarious dystopian satire that masuerades as serious opinion Most people will see it even without reading the synopsis but some won't Some people even believe Glenn Beck believes his own stuff even after he's said he does it for the money and it's entertainment I found this book delightful and laughed and chuckled my way from start to finish i highly recommend this joyful romp through greed
