Friggin Hell Tim O'Rourke is KILLING ME with these books Seriously I'm skating the edge of completely mental at this pointoh but what a way to go contains spoilers from previous books I'm not gonna lie after the execution of Potter at the end of 'Dead Water' I was than a little anxious going into this there is only so much my poor little shriveled heart can take This book starts off prior to that very public very heartbreaking turn of events Being back in Potter's head after mourning his loss was thrilling hilarious devastating all at the same time I'm admittedly a little emotionally strung out so my review may be a but jumpy sorry I was surprised with how much I enjoyed Potter and Jack Seth's interactions with each other It was very reminiscent of Murphy but much violent Lol With my eyes fixed on Potter I headed straight for him Curling my bony fingers into a fist I punched him suarely in the face There was a cracking sound as my fist crunched into the flat of his nose and he shot back down the corridor landing on the floorWhat the fuck was that for?It made me feel betterNo wonder my fucking nose looks the way it does What with Murphy's driving and people ueuing up to take pot shots at me the whole fucking timeMaybe you shouldn't be such a prick and perhaps people wouldn't feel the need to slap you so muchWho are you calling a prick? This book reminded me a little of Harry Potter the prisoner of Azkaban think Hermione's time turner that's all I'm saying Lots of action and plenty of mystery but most of all were the chills I've come to expect The scariest part of these books is the huge amount of unknowns especially with the characters You really can't trust anyone or anything as soon as you do it bites you in the ass and that is what keeps me in suspense the most As soon as you think you have something figured out you're proved wrong in the worst possible way We also get to venture back into Jack Seth's head here and that whole experience caught me off guard Besides finding him surprisingly uite funny at times disturbing at others it becomes uite clear something has changed with him since being holed up with Kiera and re living his story He was trying to break her by revealing their true relationship and the secrets of her past but I think maybe she got to him instead Who was I trying to kid? I'd forgotten how to be good a whole lifetime ago Being good didn't come easy to me I struggled with that With so many surprising twists this series will do your head in this installment was no exception I think I actually tried to reach into my Kindle at one point to unmask the damn photographer myself I NEEDED TO KNOW WHO IT WAS And again with the friggin cliffhanger you're gutting me O'Rourke I'm desperate for the next book but dreading it too because I absolutely do not want this series to end I cannot say good bye we've been through sooo much with these people can you see my struggles? Are they clear enough?? SeeMENTAL I cannot say this enough if you haven't started this series yet why the hell not??? Stop reading this review go get 'Vampire Shift' and get started on this incredible journey You WILL NOT be disappointed Kiera was like one of those fucking kids' toys a Weeble it didn't matter how many times you pushed her over she always got up again

Oh my word can this man do no wrong? Tim O'Rourke has done a whopper of a job with Dead Push the eagerly awaited book 7 in the Kiera Hudson series 2 The book gives us insight into series 2 and the 'pushed' world loved the side of jack and the development of the characters Thoroughly enjoyed this little gem I'd rate it 10 stars if allowed

  3. A Book Vacation A Book Vacation says:

To see my full review O’Rourke’s pushed world in the Kiera Hudson Series Two novels just got even cooler with the revelation that turning back time is possible Similar to the concept of Hermoine Granger’s Time Turner in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban the characters in O’Rourke’s novel discover that in this pushed world they can turn back time and review events a task Potter and Jack Seth must complete in order to help push the world back into its right alignmentThink about it How cool would it be to turn back time and witness events as they happen as an outsider? I’d love that though the pull of wanting to change events and to interfere would be unbearable as Potter and Jack Seth soon find out Together these two enemies must overcome their hatred for one another in order to save a common love KieraThis time readers get to see both sides of the story viewing the events leading up to Isidor Melody and Kiera’s deaths in the pushed world and new information has come to light; information that will floor you As always O’Rourke surprised me at every turn and as events came to their climax I was bowled over by the revelations thrown at me concerning Kiera Isidor and Jack SethJack Seth’s inner monologue is absolutely hilarious in this novel As he works through his sinister feelings leaping into the past and watching for the photographer his musings about Isidor and Melody Rose had me snickering to myself as I read His pet names and thoughts about their actions were uite funny especially as readers of this series have heard this story before from a much serious standpoint in Dead Angels However seeing it through an observer’s eyes obtaining both sides of the picture added a new twist to the story and it is beautifully done especially as it forces Jack Seth to take a long hard look at his inner soul And what he finds and chooses to do will surprise youPotter ever the snarky mouth off finds himself leaping into the past to watch for the photographer at Kiera’s house however he soon finds himself battling against his feelings for Kiera—not his Kiera might I add but the pushed version; the version destined to die in a robbery shootout Potter’s thoughts and feelings and ultimately his actions reveal much about himself and the pushed world and it is through him that we learn even concerning the Wolf Man and his seemingly “all knowing” intentionsSo much is revealed in this novel about the pushed world the elders and even the wolves—it’s an intense read told from alternating perspectives of Potter and Jack Seth and I absolutely adored it Of course there is a major cliffhanger at the end but with Tim O’Rourke’s writing expertise it won’t be long before we have the next installment Dead Lost

There is a reason why I was hook line and sinker after reading Black Hill Farmby Tim O'Rourke back in 2011 I will drop any book I am reading at the moment to read any of Tim's books He has such a uniue and mysterious writing style that I have never read before Time and time again Tim takes me away from my daily life and sends me off on adventures that make my head spin scare the crap out of me make my stomach turnmake me laughcry relate to the characters and most of all leave me guessing He really makes my brain work over time and I love every moment of it With that being said Dead Push was no different I don't want to give too much away so I will explain how the book made me feel In the beginning I felt elatedsurprisedproudand sad in that order As the story moved along I was once again surprised and very impressed with Tim's imagination I was also extremely excited because I have missed a character very much and I knew they were going to make an appearance once again At this point the story goes from past to present in a way from a different point of view which was bittersweet Now let me talk about Jack SethThis creature is the worst of the worst of monsters Up until Dead Seth I wanted the guy deadjust like the title but that book left me with a better understanding of why he turned so evilIt made me extremely heartbroken with what he went though Then we move on to Dead Water once again I hated the guy Then we have Dead PushI can not tell you how many times I hated and liked this man in this book I probably have whiplash Lol I guess you can say I am now relieved with how things turned out with him and I'm on the like sideYes there is a major cliffhanger but Tim is notorious for them Lol It just makes me all the giddy to read Dead Lost and to continue to try to think the way Tim thinks to figure out the answers I need Which is an impossible task because the man is a story puzzling genius Oh yeahthis book in my opinion has the funniest content of all of his books

  5. Clare Clare says:

Worth the wait Can see why the author wanted to wait before publishing From the pov of Potter and Jack Seth adventures abound with some uestions answered only for to become apparent with the ending that you don't wont to come Now need the next book Dead Lost to be written oh well just have to let my imagination run riot until then Congratulations Tim on another excellent book and to the many no doubt coming our way

  6. Claire Claire says:

As with all of Tims much anticipated books they're over way too soon as we gorge on every morsel taking in every detail trying to figure out the next piece of the puzzle It starts from where last time around we learn the fate of Potter but is all as it seems? This time around its in the point of view of Potter and Seth as they are sent on a journey to try and unravel the identity of the photographer Seth is sent to watch Isi bore as he calls him I just love Seth I never realised how funny he can be and at other times so twistedFavourite Seth uote To be honest the pair were so fucking loved up with each other I could've walked beside them singing the 'Hokey Cokey' and neither of them would've noticed I was even therePotter is sent to watch Kiera but not his Kiera and has such a hard time differentiating between the two and discovers way than he bargained forTwo whens and wheres and nothing has changed very much I still had the knack of making Kiera Hudson mad at meI was so happy to see a certain someone at the end Does Seth really have a good side???Can both Seth and Potter accomplish their mission or will they get distracted and fail only time will tell as we await the next instalment in this fantastic series

  7. Talk Supe Talk Supe says:

Braine's Talk Supe review Now I have to be honest at first I didn't feel excited about this because I feel like is just killing time instead of sticking with the essentials and working on the ending But as DEAD PUSH unfold I realize why this novel is important Potter and Seth's objective was to find the Photographer and since they failed to do that there's no real resolution here They did manage to discover a lot of things especially with regards to those blasted Elders but aside from that DEAD PUSH was really about character self checks for both Potter and Seth We can expect Potter to make amends for Kiera Seth on the other had is a wild card Who knows what he's going to do nextDEAD PUSH may have veered off a little bit from the main plot of the series but I think it changed the game in some ways How? We'll find out in Dead Lost coming soon

  8. Carol Sloan Carol Sloan says:

Another outstanding book in the Kiera Hudson series The thing with Tim's characters are that they are all so believable and all eually well constructed So many twists and turnsRead in one weekend again and now have to wait for the next one at least there are 2 and then the promise of another series

  9. Jackie Jackie says:

Undeniable brilliance Yet again Tim left me enthralled exhilarated surprised and frustrated yes a cliffhanger folks Tim O'Rourke is one of those authors you automatically buy books from such twisted imagination that leaves you enraptured again and again 998% of the time you never see it comingBring it on Tim we are waiting

  10. Brandi Matherly Brandi Matherly says:
