    Anyone who has picked up a novel by Mary Burton knows she does romantic suspense and does it very well and Cut and Run is no exception This novel is a biton the thriller side than the romance but there s still that relationship between the characters that fans want to see.When a body of a man is found Faith McIntyre is the active medical examiner on the case and after her examination she tries to make contact with the victim s daughter, Macy Crow What Faith doesn t know is that Macy does Anyone who has picked up a novel by Mary Burton knows she does romantic suspense and does it very well and Cut and Run is no exception This novel is a biton the thriller side than the romance but there s still that relationship between the characters that fans want to see.When a body of a man is found Faith McIntyre is the active medical examiner on the case and after her examination she tries to make contact with the victim s daughter, Macy Crow What Faith doesn t know is that Macy does make her way to town and begins looking into her father s murder herself being an FBI agent.Macy however makes the mistake of catching the attention of the wrong person and is run down by a truck Texas Ranger Mitchell Hayden shows up at the scene of the accident to find the injured woman looks exactly like Faith whom he has been seeing This leads Faith and Hayden to begin looking further into the case.Cut and Run of course is one that changes the point of view along the way mostly being the two main characters but also a few other views mixed in The story however is one that is easy to follow as secrets of the past came hauntingly back to mix in with the intensity of the current time Some may want to see a bitromance but I rather enjoyed this one for the thrilling ride that is was and would definitely recommend checking it out.I received an advance copy from the publisher via Netgalley.Forreviews please visit

    This review can also be found at Carole s Random Life in Books.I liked this book I found it to be a really well done romantic suspense novel This is a stand alone novel but I did find a connection to another one of her books, The Last Move, through the characters which I found interesting I found this book to be easy to listen to for hours at a time as I worked to try to solve the mystery I ended up have a great time with this story.The action starts right away in this book with the discover This review can also be found at Carole s Random Life in Books.I liked this book I found it to be a really well done romantic suspense novel This is a stand alone novel but I did find a connection to another one of her books, The Last Move, through the characters which I found interesting I found this book to be easy to listen to for hours at a time as I worked to try to solve the mystery I ended up have a great time with this story.The action starts right away in this book with the discovery of the body of a man that has been tortured This is just the start of a rather complicated and far reaching chain of events I really wasn t sure how everything would work out or how one thing was connected to the next but as the book progressed everything just seemed to fall into place There are events from the past connected to other things that are happening in the present day which really added to the mystery.I liked the characters quite a bit Faith is the medical examiner tasked with working on the initial body She was smart and dedicated to the job She was also the kind of person that really worked to help others and got personally involved at times Macy is Faith s equal in every way and they share a much deeper connection I wish that Macy could have been a bigger part of the story but I did appreciate what she did add to the tale Ranger Hayden was good at his job and worked really well with Faith They made a great team and it was fun to see all the pieces come together.I thought that Brittany Pressley did a great job with the story This book had a rather large cast of characters and I thought she handled them all really well She was able to add a lot of emotion to the story at times and was able to add some excitement to other scenes This was my first time listening to Brittany Pressley s work but I was really impressed and hope to get the chance to listen to her narration again soon.I would recommend this book to fans of romantic suspense I liked that the mystery element to this story seemed to take the main stage with the romance adding a nice extra element I plan to readfrom Mary Burton in the future I won a digital copy of this book in a Goodreads giveaway and borrowed the audio from Kindle Unlimited.Initial ThoughtsI liked this one but not quite as much as I liked The Last Move by the same author I was actually surprised to find that this book did have a small link to The Last Move through a character Both books really are stand alones but the connection is there Now I am wondering if there are other books that might have some kind of link The story was pretty complex and spanned over 30 years There were a few things that I was able to guess and some things that I couldn t I did enjoy the story overall and thought that the narrator did a great job with the book.Book Source I won an ebook copy through a Goodreads giveaway and borrowed a copy of the audiobook from Kindle Unlimited

    Solid suspense, unexpected twists, strong heroine, good plot and as always underdeveloped romance.I read this author because of an interesting crime mystery and I accept her abrupt endings and lack of epilogues, but maybe one day she would write it pretty please

    NOW LIVEUSUK Mary Burton s books just have everything I could ask for in a Romantic Suspense and this one was no different With that little bit of romance between Faith and Mitchell, the on the edge of my seat suspense, and the massive amount of intrigue, I was completely hooked on this story It took me through twists and turns and had me guessing at everything Even when I got to the point where I knew what was going on I still didn t actually know what was going to happen NOW LIVEUSUK Mary Burton s books just have everything I could ask for in a Romantic Suspense and this one was no different With that little bit of romance between Faith and Mitchell, the on the edge of my seat suspense, and the massive amount of intrigue, I was completely hooked on this story It took me through twists and turns and had me guessing at everything Even when I got to the point where I knew what was going on I still didn t actually know what was going to happen I loved that it had me so shocked at multiple different times and each turn of the page had me wide eyed Overall, this is story telling at it s finest Ms Burton will always be one of my favorite RS authors and each book I read from her only solidifies that fact ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.

    What a fantastic read, this book has a little bit of everything but a lot of surprises that will keep guessing until the end.When Texas Ranger Mitchell Haydon receives a message from an old acquaintance, Jack Crow who has been known to live on the fringes of the law his interest is peaked Unfortunately for Mr Crow, he s a little late getting out to the Salvage yard where Crow lives When Ranger Haydon arrives, let s just say he s chasing off the buzzards who are also interested in Mr Crow It What a fantastic read, this book has a little bit of everything but a lot of surprises that will keep guessing until the end.When Texas Ranger Mitchell Haydon receives a message from an old acquaintance, Jack Crow who has been known to live on the fringes of the law his interest is peaked Unfortunately for Mr Crow, he s a little late getting out to the Salvage yard where Crow lives When Ranger Haydon arrives, let s just say he s chasing off the buzzards who are also interested in Mr Crow It looks like ole Jack took whatever secrets that this killer wanted to the grave by the looks of his poor old tortured body and tossed trailer house Ranger Haydon calls in the reinforcements to see if they could come up with anything useful regarding who did this to the old man who was pretty much a hermit Medical Examiner Fatih McIntyre and her investigator arrive and take Mr Crow away and look for the next of kin to identify the body Mr Crow had a son, Dirk who lived on the other side of the property who seems to be missing and a daughter Macy who lives in Virginia They did make contact with Macy, and she drops everything and catches the next flight to Austin.Macy s first stop is her dad s salvage yard she s sure that the two initial searches might have missed something She s right, her dad left her trail, but it was in the right direction She s back at her hotel room when she sees a clip Faith McIntyre accepting an award regarding a children s home She s completely dumbfounded by the image Faith it was like her body double She sends Faith a note plus a selfie and photo of her FBI identification She s following her trial to a bar called Second Chances when things go wrong Macy is almost killed after she leaves that bar, Ranger Haydon can t believe what his eyes when approaches the body of Macy laying broken in the street He s been working with Faith for a long time and knew she was an only child As I stated earlier this book has so many twists and turns, I m finding it hard to write this review without spewing spoilers all over the place Ms Burton has done it again, another perfect romantic suspense novel that will rival anyone else s out there.I would like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this galley in exchange for my honest review The opinions I expressed above are my own

    Dear Ms Burton,If you happen to read this message, I agree with my friend Alex about the abrupt endings The mystery in this one is very engaging In fact, very hard to put down But still that ending I would love an epilogue being a self proclaimed epilogue whore to balance the dark with love Nonetheless, I still love this and enjoyed reading about the heroine, who is very likeable.
