I enjoyed the authors previous book about their travels through the USA so when I spotted a copy of this book for cheap last year I had to buy it Took this book away on holiday with me with the intention of giving it to my motorcycle riding, book loving stepdad after I had finished and I didn t realise it came with a DVD inside the back cover On to what I thought of the book for the most part I really liked it The descriptions of the places they went through on their 20,000 kilometre journ I enjoyed the authors previous book about their travels through the USA so when I spotted a copy of this book for cheap last year I had to buy it Took this book away on holiday with me with the intention of giving it to my motorcycle riding, book loving stepdad after I had finished and I didn t realise it came with a DVD inside the back cover On to what I thought of the book for the most part I really liked it The descriptions of the places they went through on their 20,000 kilometre journey were a good snapshot of different places I also liked the photo sections throughout the book and I thought their research and experiences into what aid agencies are doing over there was enlightening I already knew about some of the downsides and lack of accountability but it has made me reconsider where my charitable coin goes Occasionally theopionated parts grated on me though not enough for me to want to skip over them Some of the comments were rather kiwi centric references, I got them but if someone who wasn t a New Zealander read them they may of been a little confused Will add my thoughts on the companion DVD once I have watched it
